After conducting an interview with Lucy Rose for 1883 Magazine I was invited to her in-store gig at Rough Trade East to celebrate the physical launch of her single 'Scar'. A massive fan of the young and extremely talented singer song writer I jumped at the chance to go along.
Entering Rough Trade a silence fell over the few hundred people rammed inside as Lucy Rose took to the stage. A shy and humble young lady she nattered onstage between blowing away a captivated audience with her music. A soft and warbling yet powerful voice with such sincerity that even her darkest lyrics sound like a dream. Commenting in my interview that she only writes about things she has experienced, a graceful honesty came across in Lucy Rose's live set.
I have honestly been even more blown away tonight by this fresh talent than I had been before. I sense huge things for Lucy Rose,
